Free diving instructor Brian Crossland shot this wonderful video in Dahab over Christmas 2010, and reflects on his first experience of using a Bladefish 5000 DPV.

"Well after a little mix up with Packaging I departed for Egypt with the new Bladefish 5000 in the hand luggage. As I put the bag through the scanner at the airport, got the really confused look from the scanner operator and the security guard pulled me to one side to search the bag. He was more interested in what the unit could do than whether it was a lethal weapon, and after a good natter, he advised me to take the unit through with no charge in it next time. Off to Egypt with my new toy. Played around the bay in Dahab, what a wonderful little gizmo. Small compact, and so easy to operate and so much fun. The unit has two dead mans levers that both need to be pressed for the unit to operate. Well this proved a little difficult when freediving as had to keep stopping the unit to equalise the pressure in my ears but it soon started up again. You take your finger off the triggers and press it again immediately to change speed, and as you keep pressing it just cycles through the speeds. I have used other units and they are powerful enough to pull two divers through the water, but this one is just right for one diver. I will be buying another one of these units for my dive buddy, as you and your buddy really need a unit if scuba diving together. All together good Value, small compact unit, with enough power for one scuba diver."

"Great things come in small packages"

Nothing could be more true of the Bladefish Seajet, small but perfectly formed to give you the highest possible performance during your dive, without needing to be a body builder to carry it around out of the water. Fully integrated, cutting edge, “Lithium Ion” battery technology provides Bladefish Seajets with all the power you will ever need, at less than half the size and weight of equivalent models.

Low weight, high performance and up to the minute style coupled with fast charge and great range, all you need to ask is “how much fun can I stand ?”.
