Can anyone use a Bladefish ?

Yes. Any adult who is a competent swimmer can use a Bladefish, in the sea or in the pool. It is not designed for children under 14 and we recommend all users read the instruction manual carefully before use.

However the new Pooljet is specifically designed for kids to assist in learning to swim in a pool environment.

Can I charge my Bladefish anywhere in the world ?

Yes. The Bladefish comes with a transformer that dynamically adjusts to the mains supply voltage (between 100 - 240 V). You may in some cases need to use a standard travel adaptor to allow you to connect the charger plug into the local mains socket.

Can I take it on the plane ?

Yes. It is recommended you put it in the hold rather than take it as hand luggage to avoid delays at security. Always remove the starter plug when not in use.

Does it float ?

Bladefish 1000 - 4000 are positively bouyant (they float). The Bladefish 5000 has slightly negative bouyancy to help with diving. It is supplied with two accessory floats to make this model bouyant in the sea and fresh water.

The Pooljet is designed to be positively bouyant to provide that little helping hand when learing to swim.

How long does it take to recharge ?

Lithium-ion has a rapid recharge facility - in some casess 80% re-charge can be achieved in under one hour. Take a look at the product specs to get full details for each model.

Why do some models have more than one speed ?

At the top of the range the 5000 offers 3 speeds so that you can choose whether to go for economy - allowing optimum battery run time - or to cruise, or to go fast if you're keeping up with the marine life!

Will I ever need to replace the batteries ?

Unlike lead acid batteries which degrade with each cycle, Bladefish Lithium-Ion batteries can be recharged hundreds of times without losing significant capacity. Learn more about Lithium Ion battery technology.......
